Manage your auctions on the Flow marketplace
Updated
The Auctions page shows your auctions on the Flow marketplace. An auction is Live or Timed.
Create an auction
You need the Manage listings permission.
- Go to Auctions.
- Click New auction.
- Type a name for the auction.
- Set Starts and Ends. The default start is tomorrow at 10:00. The default end is 3 days after the start.
- Click Create auction.
CoinManagerPro makes a timed auction. The auction is a draft, and its page opens.
Add coins as lots
You can add coins to a draft auction. You need the Manage listings permission.
From the auction page:
- Click Add coins.
- Search for the coins and select them. Click Next.
- Check each lot. Set the Starting bid and the Reserve. Leave the reserve empty for no reserve.
- Click the add button.
From Coins:
- Select the coins.
- Click Add to auction.
- Choose a draft auction, or click New auction. Click Next.
- Check each lot, set the prices, and click the add button.
The default starting bid is less than half of the coin's value. A coin with no value has no starting bid, and you must type one. The starting bid must be $1 or more. The reserve must be the same as the starting bid or more.
Lot numbers come from your lot number rules. Without a rule, each lot gets the next number in the auction. The list also shows what each lot is missing, such as a photo or a grade. You can add a lot that is missing something.
A coin that cannot go to auction shows the reason and is not added:
- The coin is sold, on hold, on memo, checked out, in transit, at grading or missing.
- The coin is in another Flow auction or in an open platform sale.
- The coin has no units on hand.
When you add a coin, its units are reserved for the auction. Its listings on Flow Dealers, eBay and Walmart come down. When you remove the lot, or the lot does not sell, the coin goes back in stock and its listings go back up.
Change or remove a lot
Before you publish the auction, click the menu on a lot:
- Edit: change the title, the Lot number, the starting bid and the reserve. Click Save lot.
- Remove: click Remove lot. The coin goes back in stock.
Add the cover image and the description
Before you publish the auction:
- In Cover image, click Upload. Use a tall JPEG, PNG or WebP image of 10 MB or smaller. Click Replace to change it or Remove to remove it.
- Click Edit at the top of the auction page to change the name, Starts, Ends and the Description. Click Save auction.
After you publish the auction, you cannot change the auction or its lots in CoinManagerPro.
Find an auction
- Go to Auctions.
- Type in Search auctions, or click Filters to filter by status and type.
- Use the sort list to sort by Newest, Oldest, Ending soon, Starting soon or Most lots.
- Click an auction to open it.
The auction page shows:
- The lots, bids, hammer total and registrations.
- The schedule: when the auction starts, ends, was published and was closed.
- The sell-through.
- Each lot, with its lot number, title, grade, current bid and status.
Move an auction to the next step
The auction page shows one button for the next step:
- Publish: buyers can see the auction after you publish it.
- Start: bidding opens when the auction starts.
- Close: bidding stops when the auction closes. You cannot open the auction again.
The app asks you to confirm each step. You need the Manage listings permission for each step.
A draft auction shows Before you publish. Publish stays off until each item is complete:
- The auction has one or more lots.
- The auction has a cover image.
- The auction has a description.
- The start is in the future and the end is after the start.
After an auction closes, its status shows Invoicing and then Invoiced. When the status shows Invoicing failed, send the auction name to [email protected].
Delete a draft auction
You can delete only a draft auction. When you delete it, its lots are deleted and their coins go back to stock. You cannot undo this.
- On Auctions, select one or more draft auctions.
- Click Delete.
- Click Delete auction or Delete auctions.
See lots and coins at auction
- Active lots shows the open and closing lots in your Flow auctions. Use Filters to see scheduled lots.
- Coins at auction shows each coin that is a lot in a Flow auction or in an open platform sale. You need the Manage listings permission to see this page.
