Count your stock
Updated
A stock count compares the physical coins with the records. Use it for theft checks, insurance and year-end.
Start a count
- Go to Stock counts.
- Click Start a count.
- In Count by, select Warehouse, Zones or Category. A category count includes the categories under it.
- Optional: enter a Name. When you leave it empty, the count uses the name of the place or category.
- Click Start the count.
The count records the coins expected now. It changes no coin until a manager approves it.
Scan the coins
- Open the count and click Scan coins.
- In Where you count, select the Warehouse and Zone. Enter the Safe, Shelf and Box when you use them.
- Scan each coin.
A USB or Bluetooth scanner types into the Code box. On a phone, click Use the camera. The scan reads a CoinManagerPro label, an RFID tag or a slab cert number. Each scan gives a sound and a color. A repeat scan does not count two times.
When a label is damaged, click Find a coin and search by SKU, title, cert number or RFID tag. To change a quantity, click Change on a recent scan.
When the connection stops, the scans wait on the device. They send when the connection returns.
Finish and review
- Click Finish counting. The app compares the count with the records. No coin changes.
- Review the outcomes, such as Matched, Missing, Unexpected and Quantity difference.
- For each outcome, choose the changes. For example: Mark all as missing, Move all to where they were found or Set all to the counted quantity.
To scan more, click Count more. To stop, click Cancel the count. No coin changes.
Approve
Click Approve. The app makes the changes and records them in the history of each coin. A coin marked as missing comes off every sales channel. When a coin changed after the count, the app skips it.
When the approval stops, click Continue the approval. Click Report to see the results.
