Send coins on memo
Updated
A memo records coins that you give to a customer or a contractor on approval. The coins stay in your inventory with the status On memo until the recipient returns them or buys them.
You need the Manage memos permission.
Make a memo
- Go to Memos.
- Click New memo.
- In Recipient, select the Type: Customer, Contractor or Other.
- Select the customer or contractor, or enter the name, email, phone and address.
- In Coins, add the coins. Enter the Memo price each for each coin.
- Enter the Due date.
- Optional: change the Terms. The terms print on the memo. Internal notes are only for your team.
- Click Create memo.
Send one coin on memo from its page
The coin must be available.
- Open the coin.
- Click Custody.
- Click Send on memo.
When coins come back or sell
Open the memo. The actions apply to all coins that are out. To act on fewer coins, select them first.
- Record return: the returned coins go back to available, when no other memo holds them.
- Sell to recipient: the app makes one invoice for the recipient. The coins come out of stock. Click Create invoice.
- Change due date: set a new due date. The reminders start again from the new date.
- Print: print the memo.
The memo shows the coins out, the value out, the coins returned or sold, and a history of each event.
Due dates and reminders
Memos shows the open memos, the overdue memos, and the memos due in the next 3 days. Use Open, Overdue, Closed and All to filter the list.
The app sends reminders for memos that are due soon and for memos that are overdue. The reminders go to the members with the Manage memos permission.
